The national flag of Japan is a white rectangular flag with a large red disc (representing the sun) in the center. This flag is officially called Nisshōki (日章旗, "sun-mark flag") in Japanese, but is more commonly known as Hinomaru (日の丸, "sun disc").
I wanted to present to you the Japanese populations starting from a broad perspective to a much more narrower one here in San Jose.
The Japanese world population is 6,790,062,216
In the world Japan is ranked the 10th most populated country with the total population being 127,078,679
United States total population: 307,212,123
Japanese North American Population: 796,700
Japanese California Population: 288,854
San Jose City total population: 894,943 100.00%
Asian: 240,375 26.86%
Japanese: 11,484 1.28%
The total Asian population in San Jose is consisted of 26.86% out of 100% but it seems like the Japanese population in San Jose is consisted of only 1.28%, so it is less than 2%. Compared to the other total populations for example the Hispanic population is 36.8% . I believe the Japanese population is very small when I compare to others. Also having a total of 11, 484 thousand people just in San Jose is a big community.
The reason I thought this would be so interesting was because I want to show how the Japanese Population has expanded throughout the world and how they have integrated into many other cultures here in San Jose.
